Don Cousins

Don Cousins has been a mentor of mine since 1997 back when I wanted to be a church consultant and I sought out consultants to learn from them. He's in town for the HIM conference and set aside some time so we could connect.

He has just written a book, Experiencing Leadershift, that talks about some of the myths churches have upheld as biblical such as following a business model to run a church or to follow another church's growth model without seeking what the Lord wants for each individual church. During our discussion he even said that one of the things a church needs to do is "make God famous." I was in heaven after he said that.
